Casa Brazil, Inc. 2009 Donation Plan: $20,000.00
New Project Starting in 2009!
Children of Semeador Our trusted and reliable volunteer representative in Fortaleza, Brazil, Danielle Dummar distributes the funds (minimum $1,400.00 a month) to provide one hot meal a day for the over 400 underprivileged children who live in the poorest rural area south of Fortaleza, Municipio of Beberibe , called Paripuera. Casa Brazil, Inc. also distributes at the end of the year 700 toys for the children of very poor families in the area. In January 2009, Casa Brazil took an important and significant step--a permanent installation of a horticultural garden, fruit tree plantation and an eventual nursery school building on a plot of land next to the Semeador facility. This land was donated by Ms. Monica Muniz, an American member of the group, who traveled to Brazil, visited the children of Paripuera and was so impressed by Casa Brazil’s fine work that she wished to participate even more. The preliminary development costs to this site (building a periphery wall and drilling a well) are made possible by the Consular Corps of Arizona’s 2009 donation.
(Graca Martinet, President of Casa Brazil, Inc. receiving from Mr. Brad Brados, Brazilian Honorary Consul, a donation check from the Consulate Corps of Arizona. The ceremony was held on February 24th, 2009.)
O SOPAO - Community Soup Casa Brazil, Inc also provides gas and vegetables for a weekly lunch consisted of soup and bread for more than 150 people including children and their families living in one of the neediest areas of Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil.
