Distribution of Funds
Ceara - 2011
This year, in July, Jo Sachs went to Paripuera, Ceara, Brazil, to visit the children of Casa Brazil and the improvements that were made to the land Casa Brazil received as a donation*. Jo saw the new water pump, irrigation system and, above all, the new fruit trees and the vegetable garden. Casa Brazil thanks you so much for all the donations that are making possible the build of our new project and of having a place where the children, and their parents, can get fresh vegetables and learn how to cultivate the land. Jo also distributed food baskets to the families that have no money to feed their children during the school vacation period. We are trying to raise money to build a small house where the children and their families can learn the basics of agriculture and where Casa Brazil can receive our sponsors who have the desire to know more about our mission. Your support is greatly appreciate. *(All such trips are entirely funded by Jo Sachs and Graca Martinet).Ceara

New Project - Go Green! Educational Project of Organic Agriculture
In January 2009, Casa Brazil took an important and significant step: A permanent installation of a horticultural garden, fruit tree plantation and an eventual nursery school building on a plot of land next to the Semeador facility. This land was donated by Ms. Monica Lowens, an American member of the group, who traveled to Brazil, visited the children of Paripuera and was so impressed by Casa Brazil's fine work that she wished to participate even more. The preliminary development costs of this site (building a periphery wall and drilling a well) are made possible by the Consular Corps of Arizona's 2009 donation.
Graca Martinet, President of Casa Brazil, receiving from Mr. Brad Brados, Brazilian Honorary Consul, a donation check from the Consulate Corps of Arizona. The ceremony was held on February 24, 2009.
